This week’s article is going to be a mixture of meats and grilled or baked foods. This article will be giving you some ideas on how to cook these foods. These recipes will be simple or either different then what your used to.  These recipes can be completely different then how you seen it be made or can be exactly how you and your family make it. Todays two recipes that im going to be showing you is Spicy grilled shrimp and Garlic baked chicken.

Spicy grilled shrimp

Ingredients

¼ cup Sweet Baby Ray’s Hot Sauce

3 pounds jumbo shrimp (or preferred large shrimp), uncooked with shell removed and deveined

2 garlic cloves, minced

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons lemon juice

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon salt

Parsley for garnish, chopped

Heat grill to medium.

Combine Sweet Baby Ray’s Hot Sauce, oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper and mix well.

Rinse and pat dry shrimp, then thread shrimp on skewers and baste with sauce.

Place shrimp on grill and cook 1-3 minutes on each side until shrimp is pink and the meat is white, being careful not to overcook.

Plate and garnish with lemon and parsley. Serve immediately with sauce for dipping.

 

Garlic baked chicken

4 (16-ounces) boneless skinless chicken breasts

salt and fresh ground pepper , to taste

1 stick (1/2-cup) butter*

6 cloves garlic , minced

1 tablespoon fresh rosemary leaves

1/2 cup Shredded Reduced Fat 4-Cheese Italia

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375F.

Lightly grease a baking dish with a pat of butter.

Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper; arrange chicken in a single layer in prepared baking dish and set aside.

Add butter to a skillet and melt over medium heat.

Stir in garlic and cook over medium heat for 4 to 5 minutes, or until lightly browned, stirring very frequently. DO NOT burn the garlic.

Stir in the rosemary and remove from heat.

Pour the prepared garlic butter over the chicken breasts.

Bake for 30 to 32 minutes, or until chicken’s internal temperature is 165F.

Sprinkle with cheese and cook for an additional 3 minutes, or until cheese is melted.

Remove from oven and let stand a couple minutes.

Transfer chicken to serving plates; spoon a little bit of the garlic butter sauce over the chicken and serve.
